OVERVIEW OF TREATMENT EFFECT RESEARCH
The results of our measurements showed:
Analemma water improves the state of the gut microbiome
PARTICIPANTS:
16 healthy adults between 18 and 70 years of age.
DESIGN OF MEASUREMENT OF TREATMENT EFFECT:
Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled – the “gold standard” in scientific research where neither the participants nor the medical staff know who is receiving the treatment and who is receiving the placebo.
TREATMENT:
The treatment phase consisted of drinking 1.5 liters of Analemma water or placebo for 100 consecutive days.
RESULTS:
The study found that consuming Aǹalemma water improved gut dysbiosis scores by 10.7%, indicating an improved balance of the gut microbiome. While the placebo group actually deteriorated by 5.3%

What is the gut microbiome?
The human digestive system is covered with millions of microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi that help shape who we are. Their tasks are numerous and essential. Gut microbes digest the food we eat, help us absorb nutrients and produce short-chain fatty acids, which our cells then use as a source of energy. Through complex interaction with immune system pathways, the gut microbiome protects the body from harmful pathogens and even helps prevent autoimmune reactions. Studies have also shown that changes in the gut microbiome affect our mood and behavior by producing neurotransmitters such as serotonin, playing an important role in conditions such as anxiety and depression.
A healthy diet and exercise routine can do wonders for maintaining a healthy gut microbiome. But there is another way to support your gut. As our recent double-blind study shows, drinking coherent water may be a new, groundbreaking way to improve the balance of your gut microbiome.
How do we analyze the composition of the gut microbiome?
In this study, we collaborated with Biovis Diagnostik, a research company specializing in research on the microbiome. They developed a laboratory test that measures the so-called dysbiosis index, a comprehensive measure of human gut health. The test takes into account many different factors. For example, one of the parameters measured is the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio, named after the two largest groups of bacteria in the gut microbiome. The ratio between these two groups reveals important information about overall gut health, with skewed ratios common in metabolic diseases such as diabetes. The dysbiosis index also includes parameters such as the presence of pathogenic fungi (such as Candida), as well as the presence of beneficial bacteria, such as butyrate-producing bacteria. Based on all these different aspects, an overall score is obtained, which represents the overall state of the gut microbiome.
The second outcome was the index for pathogenic bacteria. While the dysbiosis index provides a broader measurement, often focusing on groups of similar bacteria, the index for pathogenic bacteria is more direct. This index measures the presence of 11 different bacterial species with potentially negative (pathogenic) effects. As such, it serves as an important indicator of gut resilience.
The treatment phase:
To determine the effects of Analema water on intestinal flora, a study was conducted with participants of different ages. A baseline measurement was conducted prior to the study. Participants were then asked to consume a minimum of 1.5L of Analema water per day for 3 months while maintaining their normal lifestyle routines. After 3 months, another test was conducted to assess changes.
Promising results for gut health
After drinking Analema water regularly for only 3 months, the study group experienced an average 16% improvement in dysbiosis index, compared to the placebo group.
The gut flora is a complex system influenced by a wide range of genetic and environmental factors. Individual differences play an important role in gut health, as evidenced by the widely varying responses of people to the same treatment.
For this reason, we looked at the total number of participants who experienced improvement in their gut health, regardless of actual scores. For someone who starts with a very low score due to previous circumstances, even a small change can mean a big improvement. In this study, we saw that 88% of participants who drank Analema water had an improvement in their dysbiosis index, compared to only 38% in the placebo group.
It further showed that compared to the placebo group, a higher percentage of participants in the Analema group experienced a decrease or stable values of the 11 bacterial species with known pathogenic effects. These findings suggest that Analema water has a protective effect on the human gut and helps us become more resilient to harmful pathogens.
