BRAIN WAVES

Amazing effects of Analemma water on our brain

If 99% of our molecules are water, can drinking coherent water affect the coherence of our most water-rich organ – the brain?

To find out, we collaborated with a clinical laboratory to study the effect of Analemma water on brain activity and communication. Participants’ brain activity showed improved activity in the delta wave region of the brain, which has important implications for mood, sleep and daytime alertness.

Why is the brain so interesting?

The first obvious link was water. The brain is our “thirstiest” organ, consisting of about 75% water, more than any other organ. The second link was brain functionality. The brain is made up of neurons: cells that produce electrical currents to send signals to each other. When different parts of the brain have clear communication, we say the brain is coherent. Conversely, when communication is blocked or disrupted, there is a loss of coherence. It raised the question: does ordered (coherent) water affect the order (coherence) of the brain?

What are brain waves?

When neurons “talk” to each other, they emit electrical pulses. Simply put, brain waves are combined pulses from many neurons emitting electrical currents in a synchronized manner. These pulses are so strong that they can be detected by placing electrodes on the scalp.

There are 4 main types of brain waves. From low to high frequency, they are called delta, theta, alpha and beta brain waves. The slow delta brain waves are most active when we are in deep sleep, while the fast beta brain waves become active when we are trying to solve a difficult mental task. Brain imaging (qEEG) allows neuroscientists to study brain activity in response to whatever is going on in the mind or body at the time. It also allows them to measure the effect of different substances on brain activity, which was exactly the goal of our 2019 research.

RESEARCH CASE STUDY I

Analemma water increases delta coherence and promotes mental clarity

Double-blind placebo-controlled twin study.

Coherence is a parameter that reflects the efficiency of communication between different brain regions. In this study, two identical 19-year-old twins were each given a glass of water, either Placebo or Analemma. Ten minutes after drinking the water, their coherence levels were measured.

Increased focus and brain coherence by drinking Analemma water

The brain maps on the left show the coherence levels of both twins before and after drinking the water, measured specifically for delta brain waves. You can see different colors on the twins’ brain maps. These colors tell us whether the levels of delta coherence are within the normal range for a healthy individual. Lower than average coherence is marked blue, above average is colored red and normal levels are green.

When comparing the before and after images, the difference between the twins is incredible! Both twins started with lower than average coherence, which can be seen by the predominantly blue color at most brain locations. However, while Placebo had no noticeable effect on brainwave coherence, Analemma water caused an immediate increase in delta coherence, evidenced by the green color across the board.

This effect was observed 10 minutes after drinking the water, and remarkably, a similar effect was observed 8 days later when the other twin drank Analemma water.

RESEARCH CASE STUDY II

Drinking Analemma water reduces delta activity

In healthy people, delta brain waves are most active during deep sleep. In our second study, we analyzed the delta brain waves of a 68-year-old woman with a neurological disorder characterized by abnormally high delta activity during waking hours. Because the participant’s delta activity was already elevated, we could use it as a biomarker to assess the effect of the Analemma water on her brain activity.

We investigated both the immediate and long-term effects of Analemma water, and the results of these experiments are presented below.

Result 1
Analemma water immediately changes delta wave activity

The image on the right shows delta activity maps of the 68-year-old participant before and immediately after consuming Analema water.

Just 10 minutes after drinking a glass of Analemma water, her delta brain waves reached normal values. This is evidenced by the color change (from mainly red to green).

Result 2
Analemma water has long-term effects on brain waves
The image on the left shows brain maps of the delta activity of the 68-year-old participant who drank Analemma water every day for 51 days. The purpose of this experiment was to chart whether the effect persisted. Therefore, immediately before the measurement, the participant did not drink Analemma water.

The brain maps show that the activity of the participant’s delta brain waves gradually decreased over the 51 days. The activity went from above average (red) to average (yellow-to-green).

Delta brain waves should not be active during waking hours. Certain neurological disorders, such as the condition this woman was diagnosed with, are characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness. This correlates with increased delta activity. Therefore, the result is surprising because it indicates a positive effect on overall brain activity. Remarkably, the participant themselves reported feeling less tired and more energetic after the study ended.

The pattern of brain waves is an important indicator of a healthy functioning brain. Although this study was conducted with a relatively small number of participants, it showed measurable effects of Analemma water on brain activity.

In this experiment, Analemma water had the strongest effect on low-frequency delta brain waves. Balanced activity of delta brain waves is important for a good night’s sleep and to stay clear and awake during the day. In addition, decreased coherence of delta brain waves has been associated with mood and behavioral disorders.

In this study, we found that drinking Analema water has a positive effect on delta coherence. Although the twin experiment was only an initial study, it does point to an important role of coherent water in maintaining balance and order in the brain. In times of daily stress, which negatively affects our health and well-being, order and harmony are crucial – coherent water might be a step in the right direction in this regard.
